“If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Not something we wait for – something God is already doing.
New Creation names the deep, patient and faithful work of God unfolding across our churches and communities: where people encounter Christ, relationships are renewed, life is revitalised, communities are transformed, the earth is reconciled and new possibilities for discipleship and mission emerge.
This space – New Creation – exists to notice that work, tend it with care and learn from it together.
We are living through a season of change. Some familiar forms no longer hold, and new ones are still taking shape. New Creation is not about novelty for its own sake, but about faithful innovation: holding fast to the gospel while listening attentively to our context and to one another. It is about mission-shaped discipleship – not a private journey, but a shared way of life rooted in Christ and lived out together.
Across the Presbytery of Glasgow, signs of this newness are already visible: congregations asking different questions, leaders experimenting gently and communities discovering fresh expressions of faith and belonging. Together, these form a collective ecosystem of mission and discipleship. It is a culture where mission, pioneering and planting are not ‘extra’ projects, but natural expressions of our shared life.
New Creation is a collective learning space: provisional, participatory and open. It values curiosity over certainty, accompaniment over instruction and faithfulness over speed. It begins not with answers, but with attention, prayer and hope.
It is already among us.
Join us in noticing and tending what God is already doing. You can begin with the PRAYER GUIDE for your neighbourhood.
