Glasgow Minister is Next Moderator of General AssemblyPublished 28 Oct 2022

A minister from Glasgow has been named as Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland for 2023/4. Rev Sally Foster-Fulton, who has led Christian Aid in Scotland since 2016, will take a year's sabbatical to become the Kirk's ambassador at home and abroad for 12 months from next May.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Mrs Foster-Fulton is married to Rev Stuart Fulton, the minister of Newlands South Church, and has two adult daughters, Alex and Gracie.
Rev Hilary McDougall, Moderator of the Presbytery of Glasgow, said, “As Moderator of Glasgow Presbytery, I'm delighted that one of our ministers has been nominated as Moderator of next year's General Assembly. Sally's global perspective and commitment to those who are poorest, her creativity in crafting worship and her wide knowledge of the Church of Scotland makes her an ideal Moderator as the Church addresses key issues of social justice and the climate crisis."
