What We Do

• Orders the business of Presbytery. 
• Co-ordinates matters that require cross committee consultation. 
• Disseminates information and views on Presbytery and Church of Scotland issues, via the Presbytery website. 
• Is responsible for the design and maintenance of the Presbytery Website. 
• Considers and reports on media matters where these affect Presbytery, external media and press relations falling within the remit of the Church of Scotland Communications Department. 
• Provides training sessions in communications issues (in association with such other appropriate groups and resources within Presbytery as may be considered helpful) for members of Presbytery and congregational personnel. 
• Provides an interface between Presbytery and the Church of Scotland Communications Department. 
• Monitors the public address and loop system for the hard of hearing for meetings of Presbytery. 
• Advises Presbytery on the issuing of any press releases in the name of Presbytery. 
• Examines communication and such other related issues as may be identified from time to time. 
• Exercises oversight of Presbytery finance, including quarterly management accounts. 
• In conjunction with the Presbytery Treasurer, prepares the dues allocation and prepares and manages the annual budget. 
• Approves the annual accounts on behalf of Presbytery. 
• Advises Presbytery on the financial implications of potential policy decisions.
