Did you know that Presbytery enjoys a special relationship with four charities based in Glasgow? Lodging House Mission, Church House, Glasgow the Caring City and 'The Well' Multi-cultural Resource Centre are supported by congregations and individuals across Presbytery who offer both practical and financial support. More help is always needed, though. Maybe you have some time to spare and would like to volunteer, or have specific skills to offer on a one-off basis. Click here to read more about each charity, or on the links above to visit their websites. You can also contact the Presbytery Office who can put you in touch.
The Lodging House Mission (LHM) supports around 100 homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded people each weekday thanks to a hardworking team of staff and volunteers, but until December it remained closed on Saturdays. During the cold winter months in particular this meant regular users had nowhere to go after 7.30am when the Night Shelter closed.
Applications for Youth Project Grants are now being accepted by Presbytery's Learning & Nurture Committee. Completed applications should be sent to Karen Wallace, Youth Development Coordinator. Forms are available from the Presbytery Office (0141 332 6606 / ) or click here to download the form and guildelines.
