The town of Kirkintilloch lies approximately 9 miles to the North East of Glasgow in the area of East Dunbartonshire. St. Columba’s beginnings were established by the merger of two of Kirkintilloch’s older churches, St. David’s Ledgate and St. Andrew’s in 1961. The expansion of Kirkintilloch in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the areas known as Rosebank and Oxgang allowed for the building of a new church in this area rather than stay closer to the town centre. The foundation stone was laid on the 31st. August 1968 with the Church opening in October 1969. The Parish covers both a residential and rural area.

We are an active,  warm and friendly congregation located in the Oxgang area of Kirkintilloch. During the week there are a number of different activities for all ages and abilities, ranging from Guild; BB; Friendship Club & Following Jesus Group to name a few. More details available on the activities page of our web site.

Our Sunday Service starts 10:30am, a Creche is available for babies & Toddlers and the Sunday Club & Bible Class meet during the morning service. Following the service Tea & Coffee is served in the church hall.

On a Tuesday we have an informal service at 10:00am followed with a time for tea or coffee and fellowship.

The Sacrament of Communion is held 4 times a year on the 1st. Sunday of March, June, September and December.
